Information and purpose
The site operator handles information to run the directory, verify therapist accounts, display authorised listings and respond to enquiries. Therapist records include cell numbers, verification records, names, photos, work locations, service radius, prices and terms acceptance. Enquiries include your name, cell number, optional email and message. Claim visits, SMS records and WhatsApp button taps are recorded. Providers may process connection and device information.
Location and external services
Browser location is used with permission to find nearby listings; you may search an area instead. Google Places supports searches and Mapbox supplies maps. Clicking WhatsApp retrieves a therapist's contact and records a tap. Conversations and transactions happen outside this site; we do not receive their contents.
Photos and private drafts
Photos may be sent to AI services for enhancement and stored as original and enhanced copies. Publicly advertised details and photos may be collected from massage.co.za into private claim drafts and enhanced before claim. Drafts are not public map listings or price comparisons. A person holding a claim link can see its name, suburb and original preview; verification is required to access the enhanced draft and publish. Public availability does not remove privacy rights.
Providers and sharing
Our cloud hosting provider stores records and images; Twilio sends SMS; Apify supports draft collection; Google Places, Mapbox and AI providers support searches, maps and photos. Providers may process information outside South Africa, subject to applicable POPIA requirements. Authorised listing details and selected photos are public. Cell numbers are not shown in results but are disclosed when visitors choose WhatsApp contact. Enquiry details and a message excerpt are privately sent to the site operator by SMS.
Lawful use and retention
Processing must have a lawful POPIA basis, such as a requested service, consent where needed, a legal duty or justified legitimate interests. Listing acceptance is not marketing consent. Records should be retained only for their purpose and applicable legal needs. Access or deletion requests may require identity checks. Necessary suppression records may be retained to prevent further contact; backups and legally required records may persist after removal.
Security and your rights
Administrative messages and accounts have restricted access. Images use time-limited links; authorised listing photos are visible to visitors. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Subject to law, request access, correction or deletion, object to processing or withdraw consent through Contact us. Do not send passwords or verification codes. You may also complain to South Africa's Information Regulator.
Browser storage
Essential storage supports therapist sign-in and encrypted admin sessions. External map and other providers may process technical usage information under their policies. This notice describes the current service; changes will be dated.
